wine: as time and input permit (we're quite slow around here), we will be providing
useful information on Italian wines produced using unusual indigenous
grapes.
If you have a favorite or know of an unusual wine from Tuscany,

Ligurian wines and vinesLiguria's most notable wines include the Cinqueterre white wine, made from Bosco grapes together with Vermentino and Albarola. The red wine Dolceacqua is an attractive DOC wine made with the Rossese grape. It may also be labeled Rossese di Dolceacqua. In addition, the Ligurian region makes several good quality white wines from the Pigato and Vermentino varietals. |
